Clubhouse Main Area

The Clubhouse floor is hardwood and is great for dancing. All the main area lights are on dimmer switches so the lighting can be made quite subtle. The main area is approximately 1000 square feet and the Occupancy Limit is 155 people. There are fold up chairs and tables available at no extra charge.

The Maple Valley School of Ballet currently leases the building Monday through Friday. Their last class gets over about 6:30pm on Fridays so a Friday evening rental is a possibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What about live music or loud music?
A. Heavy amplifiers, metal microphone stands, drum sets, and other accessories and instrument cases can really damage the hardwood flooring. Extra care and precautions must be taken to protect the floor. Over the years, there have been some really good parties, loud DJ's, live music, etc. Some have also been shut down by the local police.

Q. We are planning to serve alcohol, are there any permits required?
A. Yes. State regulations require a banquet permit for the service of alcohol. Information on this permit is available, Click here.

The City of Black Diamond may require a “Special Event Permit” be issued 30 days prior to your event. It is a good idea to check with the City and find out their requirements.

Complete Kitchen Available

Two Full Size Stoves, Large Refrigerator, Microwave, Dual Stainless Steel Sinks, Counter Top Pass-Through to Main Area.

Separate Men's and Women's Facilities

The Men's and Women's Restrooms were newly remodeled in late 2009 with new porcelain and sinks. The Women's Restroom has two separate enclosures with enough area to double as a dressing room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why is the Damage Deposit so high?
A. There have been a few, but costly, accidents during rentals. The Ballet School has a mirror-lined wall and at one event a mirror was broken. Leaking coolers were placed on the wood floor and the resulting damage was well over $1000. If there is no damage, and no clean-up required, the $500 deposit is fully refundable.

Q. Do I have to sign a contract?
A. Yes. It is a simple, straight forward contract that you can download or read by clicking Rental Contract.

Q. Are the cleanup instructions posted somewhere?
A. Yes, they are also online and you can read or download them by clicking Cleanup Instructions.

You probably have more questions and they may be answered in the Rental Agreement. If not either email the Clubhouse Manager or contact Joe May by phone at 206-713-9747.
