    • Volunteer efforts are very low.
    • Usage for Club events is very low.
    • An inspection was obtained to determine the state of the building - several items in need of repair.
    • Options were presented to keep and maintain the building or dispose of same.A vote of the members present (approx 50) was about 90% in favor of retaining the building.

  • Boating Hours:
    • Mike Cline (Lake Sawyer resident, club member and current Black Diamond City Council member) gave a short description of procedure for revising the hours - all must go before the Black Diamond City Council for consideration, hearing(s) and a final council vote. Cost of additional patrol would be considered as would the feeling of the Lake residents in any changes.
    • Dave Newberry gave a short presentation of a proposed revision to the existing boating hours including a proposal for revising the hours to 11 to 6 every day. Spirited discussion followed with many members present expressing varied views on this subject, concerning such concerns as noise, water pollution, safety, crowding, being unable to utilize the lake for activities such as skiing, etc. except during very limited hours.
  • Water Quality:
    • Bob Rothschilds gave a report which indicated that the water quality of the lake had improved the last couple of years. Since long term trends are considered more indicative, this short term improvement may or may not be significant. Every one must continue to be friendly to our lake.
  • The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:15PM.
