Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 pm by Steve Garvich. Present were Julie Geiger, Carol Benson, Robert Schueler, Orville Peterson, and Janie Edelman. Missing were Bob Rothschilds, and Dave Newberry.
- The treasurer’s report was read and approved. The minutes of the April meeting were approved as written.
- Review of Action Items:
- Clubhouse repair – there were 4 bids for the floor repair. We decided that the important things, i.e., clean out the crawl space, add vents, spray for insects and ductwork would be first. Orville said that he would replace the furnace filter and spray the roof. The kitchen sink also needs rrepair as well as the toilets and faucet in the bathrooms. We approved $350 for the insect spraying. JR Northwest was chosen as the contractor.
- Clubhouse and Adopt a Road is scheduled for 9:00 am on May 19. The Non dock party is scheduled for May 20.
- Fourth of July: Janie will order t-shirts for the fun run. Julie will talk to Cindy Kerley about 4th of July canvassers.
- A motion was made and seconded to increase the dues to $35 per year.
- Janie had contacted the city about allowing a permanent community sign to be placed at the corner of 232nd and 288th. BD Building Dept's Rob Schuey stated that he didn’t think we would be able to do that even if it were a Black Diamond sign. So she will contact a sign making company and see about additional portable signs.
- Boat patrol issues: 1. Young kids on jet skis. 2. Personal watercraft in general. 3. Ticket more 4. Enforcement of low wake zone at boat launch 5. Some boats do not have spotters
- It was stated that Doug Geiger had changed domain name registrar for the website. It is now $8.95 rather than $30.00 per year.
- Carol is going to call Ulla about membership committee.
