LSCC Minutes for Board Meeting
June 13, 2001
Lake Sawyer Community Club
Meeting Minutes
Steve Garvich called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Present
were Julie, Steve, Robert, Bob, Orville, Cindy and Janie. The minutes
were approved as submitted.
-
Status of 4th of July was given. All seems to be on schedule.
The clubhouse repair required an additional $850 worth of work on the beams
due to termite problems. We talked about exterminators. Bob
Rothschilds will contact his extermination company about doing a once a
year spraying. We authorized up to $300 be spent. The soft
spot in the roof still needs to be looked at.
-
Claudette contacted Steve about painting the clubhouse. It will be
done sometime in August to be scheduled by Bob Rothschilds.
-
Rick Stock’s daughter showed up to plead her case to change the name of
the boat parade from “Earthquake” to Fairy Tales or Pirates of the Caribbean.
We voted to change to Fairy Tales. Some time was spent amending the
newsletter that is about ready to go out.
-
Dock parties are scheduled for July 22 at Edelman’s, August 19 at Kerley’s.
A floating dock party is scheduled on September 9. It will be hosted
by the Garvich’s. The non-dock party only had 10 people attending.
-
There was a continuation of the signage issue. Robert agreed to explore
the possibility of using the fence at the SW corner of 288th and 232nd
to temporarily hang signs. This item will be discussed again at the
next meeting.
-
Janie agreed to email a copy of the rental agreement for the clubhouse
to the board and Cindy.
-
Cindy will lay out a plan to accommodate rental agreements among LSCC members,
certain groups that are requesting the use and a reduced rate if only using
for less than four hours.
-
Steve will check into or take pictures of signage for examples.
-
Janie will call the city about permits required for the 4th of July activities.
-
The rental agreement between LSCC and the Maple Valley School of Ballet
is going to be reviewed and then restructured.
Meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
Respectively submitted,
