LSCC Minutes for Board Meeting
August 12, 2001
The meeting began at 7:30 p.m.. Present were Bob
Rothschilds, Carol Benson, Julie Geiger, Steve Garvich, Janie Edelman,
Orville Peterson and Bart Selz.

The treasurer’s report was read. We currently have 149 paid members.
We collected $1,470.70 more than last year for the 4th of July.

The meeting minutes for July were approved as written.
Continuing Business:
-
Janie said that the furnace will be serviced on August 13th. The
tank is filled as the weather gets cold.

Rock Creek water quality issue. Annette collected two samples and
gave to Bob. Bob will call Jason Paulson from Black Diamond about
water sampling and what has the city noticed.

Steve said he will look at the p-trap in both the men’s bathroom and the
kitchen and do whatever repair may need to be done.

Orville sprayed the roof of the clubhouse with a moss retardant.

There were no responses from the newsletter to help with the repair of
the clubhouse. The following items need attention: Pruning, paint
interior, add roof vents, new reflectors are need at the street, new light
bulbs for lighted area including exit signs, and organize the storage room.

Eric Cline will finish his part of the outside work this month, Chris Rothschilds
will do it in September. We also need to get Claudette to help with
some of the work. Steve will set up a date.

Dock parties—August 19th, hosted by the Garviches, September 16th,
hosted by the Kerleys.

Fireworks—Janie talked to the fireworks people and they had no knowledge
that anything had gone awry during our display.

Maple Valley School of Ballet—Claudette does not expect to be renting the
clubhouse in the month of June.
New Business:

We need volunteers for the Santa boat, Santa and his elves. Janie
will take care of the Christmas families.

We discussed the possibility of raising the rent on the clubhouse.
Bob will call Dave Peters to see about updating the lease with Claudette.
We also discussed the idea of new rules for renting the clubhouse if you
are a member.

Janie is keeping track of items for the next newsletter. These include
the boat parade theme, needing a volunteer for Santa and his elves, article
about renting the clubhouse.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
