September 12, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. Present were Steve
Garvich, Carol Benson, Robert Schueler, Janie Edelman and Bart Selz.
-
The Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
-
The (August) Meeting Minutes were approved as emailed.
Unfinished Business:
-
The September dock party will be at the Kerley’s, dock #279 at 3:00 p.m.
on Sunday, September 16. Doug Geiger needs to send out a reminder
email. Only 10 people showed up for the raft party hosted by the
Garvich's. Steve agreed to purchase a new sign to be placed at the
clubhouse for future dock parties.
-
Claudette is preparing to paint the hallway and the kitchen shelves at
the clubhouse. There will be a community club work party on either
September 29th or 30th. We will paint the interior.
New Business
-
There was a discussion on the lease agreement between Lake Sawyer Community
Club and the Maple Valley School of Ballet. Since there was not a
quorum no vote was taken on the question of raising the rental rate.
Currently we are charging $14/hour for a 13 hour/week. Janie agreed
to retype the rental agreement and email to board members. Additional
suggestions for the lease:
1. Any Saturday scheduling of clubhouse by the Ballet School must be
pre-approved by the clubhouse manager in advance.
2. Any pre-approved repair of the clubhouse performed by the Ballet
School may be deducted from the rent.
-
We discussed future emailing of the newsletter instead of using the postal
service. Robert will call Black Diamond City Hall and check into
using their monthly newsletter to disseminate information. Bart will
talk to Doug Geiger about emailing the newsletter.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
Respectively submitted
