On Thursday, February 13th, 1997 our Annual Meeting and election of officers was held at the Community Club. The agenda for this meeting was action packed with numerous guest speakers in attendance. Sergeant Francis Carlson for the King County Marine Patrol Unit; Linda Hanson, representing King County Department of Natural Resouces; and Kent Pullen, King County Councilmember; all spoke and provided answers to questions posed by Lake Sawyer residents. Representatives from the Black Diamond Annexation Committee, as well as Bob Rothchilds from the Lake Restoration Committee, also Spoke with those in attendance.

The election of officers resulted in a few new faces on the Board. The results of the election were:

We welcome all the new members to the Board and look forward to a productive and fun year. The members in attendance also voted for the new By-laws, which went into effect immeadiately. The most notable change in the Bylaws being the election of Trustee positions on a bi-annual basis. With Position # 1 and # 3 being elected in the odd-ending years , and # 2 and # 4 being elected in even ending years.
