YOUR clubhouse looking good! Those who would rather clean up our roads
around the lake can take part in the spring clean up of SE 288th St and
216th Ave SE. You can even take part in both and really show your
support and concern for our neighborhood.
APRIL 16th 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM We’re going to start the Lake Sawyer Social Season early this
year with our first NON-DOCK Party on Sunday, April 16 at the Community
Club. Come and celebrate with us that:
All Lake Sawyer residents are welcome. If your last name starts
with A-K, please bring dessert.
If your last name starts with L-Z, please
bring salad. If your last name starts
with A-Z, please bring chocolate. (kidding, just kidding)
Membership As of this time we have ONLY 15% of the lake residents who are members of the LSCC. This newsletter is sent to all residents in hopes it is a friendly reminder of the opportunity to support our community club. For only $20.00 dues, membership provides reduced rental fees for the club house, the 4th of July celebration, the Santa Boat and other activities throughout the year.
Clubhouse Manager As of the mailing of this newsletter, we do not have anyone to
manage the Clubhouse. The job entails taking rental reservations, collecting
money, checking for damage, etc. For more details please contact a board
member. We are only as successful as the combined efforts of our membership!
Dock numbers should become a reality sometime this spring. The
Black Diamond Police are in process of obtaining the numbers, which will
then be installed by a group of volunteers later this spring.
Editorial Comment: One of the tasks facing the Board this year is the future of the Clubhouse. We have spent a considerable part of our regular meetings discussing how to increase the use of the Clubhouse and how to increase the revenues generated by the Clubhouse to insure that it is properly maintained for the future. The Non-dock party, the work party, and the new rental policy are examples of these efforts. But the bottom line is that the Board can not be the only ones who care about or use the Clubhouse! Please take the time to join us and help demonstrate that we, the members still want to retain the Clubhouse. Buildings do not maintain themselves, so please help!
