Santa on the Lake
December 17: Santa Boat visited Lake Sawyer last night, leaving
kids with wide eyes..and a candy cane! And what's that? There's SNOW on
the Santa barge!!! Santa must have braved through the storms all around
us to get here. Local Elves Steve Garvich and Mike Cline maneuvered the
barge for Santa's trip around Lake Sawyer, and with the help of elvettes
Mary Ann Garvich, Patty Cline and Alan Christie began the journey at 4:30PM,
headed clockwise around the lake and escorted Santa until 8:30PM.
Canned goods for the Christmas Food Drive were collected by the elves,
too, and will be provided to needy families for the holidays.

Christmas Giving Tree
Many thanks to all the families that donated gifts to the Giving Tree.
Because of your support, over 80 gifts were provided to the three adopted
families. And also I would like to thank the Lake Sawyer Grocery for participating.
They, once again, displayed to gift tags and acted as the collecting point
for the presents. Without their participation, the giving tree would not
be so successful. I know that these families had the best Christmas ever
due to everyone's kindness and thoughtfulness.
