About UsThe Lake Sawyer Advocacy Group (LSAG) is an ad hoc, not-for profit organization dedicated to safeguarding Lake Sawyer's water level. Comprised entirely of unpaid volunteers, we operate independently of the LSCC. Our core mission is to prevent the Covington Water District's pumping from the 222nd Street wells from unduly lowering the lake's water level, especially during the summer months. Our methods will involve educating the public and elected officials as well as gaining regulatory involvement to effect change. As the only group of its kind, we are committed to communicating accurate information, dispelling misinformation, and protecting the lake, its fish, and the aquatic habitat from exploitation by excessive extraction of water from Lake Sawyer. The LSAG is not affiliated with the Lake Sawyer Community Club, but does work in partnership to communicate to lake residents the work of LSAG and updates on the water level issues.
